How can you get involved in WMU?

All ladies are welcome to attend monthly meetings at Liberty.  Each monthly meeting includes a devotional as well as planning of upcoming church events and mission work within the community.

Past events sponsored by the WMU include special event dinners, Hallelujah Night and the Christmas Shoebox Ministry.

Liberty's WMU meets the first Sunday of each month at 5:00pm

The Liberty WMU is currently working on two specific mission areas. One mission project is "Care Kits for Kids".  These kits are assembled to give to children who are being removed from their home for various reasons.  The kits contain basic necessary items for the child, such as books, toiletries, puzzles, and even a stuffed toy.  Each child can have their own backpack of items to help make their transition a little more comfortable.  Liberty is currently asking for donations of New Testment Bibles to include in these backpacks.  Any other items are welcome for donation. 

The WMU is also currently taking donations for the Knox County Women's Shelter.  The shelter is in need of various items to help meet the needs of Knox County women who need shelter, counseling or assistance in regaining their independence.
